That's right! Nick Denton, owner of Gawker, who has an estimated net worth well in excess of 300 million dollars , can't afford to get his websites working by now? How long have we had Kinja? How many double posts, failed image uploads and bad layout complaints must there be for this guy to get somebody on it? Does anybody even care?

/RANT OVER.... For now.

It's hard to fix something that doesn't stop changing. From what I've seen, the support team actually does a marvelous job.

All of those issues are things we deal with as commenters in oppo but don't extend to the moneymaking posts on the front page. The same is true for the other gawker properties, which don't even all work the same way or have the same features 100% of the time.

We have a ton more features available to us than commenters on other auto sites, and those don't normally even have subforums dedicated to the reader base and their weird car fetishes. Autoblog, TTAC, those commenters can't do any of the things you mentioned and are lucky if a simple hyperlink works.

TL;DR oppo isn't perfect but it's a whole lot more robust than the alternatives.

Yes, Oppo is amazing in what it allows us to do. However, I still think all the problems should have been fixed by now. For instance, if I want to view my notifications or see my blog there's a good chance it won't work the first time. There's nothing else like Oppo or the other commenter blogs but that doesn't mean they get to do a half-assed job and leave it in beta stage for us to work with. It's a great idea executed poorly.
